Join us for a special evening with acclaimed writer, editor, and lifelong surfer Steve Hawk. The program begins with a screening of Ben Weiland’s exhilarating Bering Sea surf movie, Island X, followed by an engaging conversation exploring cold-water surfing, storytelling, and Hawk’s debut novel, Nearshore.

Steve is a former editor of Surfer, Sierra and Stanford Business magazines and is currently co-authoring a book with his brother, Tony Hawk, on the history and culture of skateboarding. Steve brings a lifetime of experience, curiosity, and unforgettable stories to this intimate conversation.
